SC seeks Centre’s view on regulator for TV channels

The Supreme Court on Monday sought the Centre’s response to a PIL seeking establishment of a regulatory body or statutory tribunal to adjudicate public grievances against news broadcasters and television channels, which the petition alleged frequently crossed the line.
